As part of the One Great Day initiative, on Saturday 23rd June 2018, 11am - 3pm, Arc shopping centre will be giving you all the fun of the fair, with their traditional village fete themed event. The event raises money each year for the Great Ormond Street Hospital, as well as local charity My WiSH.

The event will bring all the traditional games and stalls of a village fete, along with lots of fun and laughter to the town centre. Village fetes are community based events that are enjoyable for the whole family, which makes it the perfect event to help raise money and awareness for a great children's charity, as well as our local hospital charity.

Each of the fair games, including a tombola, guess the name of the teddy, hook-a-duck and a guess how many balloons inside the car, will have prizes to be won and will only be 50p each to play or 3 turns for £1! There will also be the chance to get transformed into your favourite character or animal, with face painting for £2.50 per person. 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the charities.

The village fete will be a great day out for the whole family, with great value for money and a fun filled entertainment.

One Great Day is a UK wide annual charity fundraising day, raising money and support primarily for Great Ormond Street Hospital and local children’s charities close to the heart of each community.

Although Great Ormond Street Hospital is located in central London, more than half of their patients come from across the UK, often with illnesses that cannot be treated elsewhere. The Hospital Children's Charity also funds six projects in Glasgow, Oxford, Manchester and Nottingham, investing nearly £1million in potentially life-saving research for children.
