Nandos - Peri-Farms
Since 2012, Nando’s have been working with farmers in Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa to source their world famous chillies. 1,400 farmers are involved in the project and it is growing from strength to strength, Nando’s guarantee they will also buy the chillies at a fair price and as a result this project helped give Peri-Farmers and their families access to education, healthcare, water, energy and housing! So when you taste that delicious Peri sauce, you’re tasting real happiness!
2. WagaMama - Grey is the new black
Have you noticed Wagamama’s take-out bowls have changed from black to grey? Subtle, but with very good reason. There are a number of UK councils which do not recycle black plastic, Wagamama wanted to ensure their take-out packaging can be recycled wherever you are. The lids also mean the take-out bowls make great storage containers or lunch boxes!
3. Carluccio’s - Humble beginnings
28 years ago Antonio and Priscella Carluccio opened their first italian food shop in Neal Street, London. After 8 years of bringing the finest Italian ingredients to London, the first Carluccio’s cafe opened in Market Place.
Fast forward to today and the Carluccio’s name has spread far and wide, with 77 restaurants in the UK in Ireland and 14 in Turkey and the Middle East.
